THE OLD WALLED GARDEN AND ORCHARD
The gardens of Riber Hall were non-existent when the Hall was acquired nearly 40 years ago. Now, bushes, trees, shrubs and creeper covered walls create an ideal environment for bird life to nest and to hide from avian and other predators. Bird life has received much care and attention in every respect and consequently is abundant.
Many rare species can easily be observed, such as nut hatch, siskin, gold crest, flycatchers, woodpeckers etc. Our guests often comment about the diversity and the quality of bird song in this oasis of tranquillity.
